  1. 01 INSTALLATION OF GARNER FILE ANALYST SOFTWARE
  2.    INSTALLATION OF GARNER FILE ANALYST SOFTWARE 
  3.    *   1. You should now be logged to A: prompt and running
  4.    *      this INSTALL program from A: prompt. If not, Press
  5.    *      ESC and start over.

  7.    *   2. DEMO INSTALLATION DISK should now be in drive A.
  8.    *      If not, insert it in drive A now. 
  9.    * 
  10.    *   3. In general, you will be asked only a few questions,
  11.    *      which will be explained later. The system is
  12.    *      installed in 2 passes. First, the software is copied
  13.    *      to your hard drive. In the second pass, this INSTALL
  14.    *      program will read your hard drive to double check
  15.    *      that the system was installed correctly. If you have
  16.    *      any error conditions, simply terminate this install
  17.    *      run and start all over. If you still have errors see
  18.    *      your manual for details.

  21. 02 PATH SCREEN INFORMATION

  23.    *  At the prompt, key in the path where you want to install
  24.    *  the system. Make sure you include the drive letter in
  25.    *  the path. This INSTALL program will automatically create
  26.    *  the directory "PCU11\" in that path. Do not key PCU11 as 
  27.    *  part of the path. To accept c:\ as the path, press ENTER
  28.    *  at the prompt. 
  29.    *           Sample valid paths are:  
  30.    *               1.   c:\
  31.    *               2.   c:\appl\
  32.    *               3.   c:\tools\
  33.    *               4.   c:\myfiles\util\
  34.    *               5.   d:\appl\util\

  38.    *    System must reside in pcu11. If you DO NOT add pcu11
  39.    *  to the autoexec.bat, you must log to pcu11 every time
  40.    *  you use the system.

  42.    *     If you install it, for example, at c:\appl\pcu11 and
  43.    *  you DO add it to the autoexec.bat PATH entry, you can
  44.    *  then run from any location at any time. For example:

  46.    *        Before: PATH c:\wp51\;c:\ws
  47.    *        After:  PATH c:\appl\pcu11;c:\wp51;c:\ws

  49.    *     If you are still not sure, then add the path to the
  50.    *  autoexec.bat file, since this should not affect the
  51.    *  running of any other software.
